Age Friendly Colorado Springs Community Launch Celebration, September 8, 2016

Colorado Springs, Colorado, August 4, 2016–Innovations in Aging Collaborative along with the City of Colorado Springs and AARP Colorado have launched the Age-Friendly Colorado Springs initiative. Age Friendly Colorado Springs works to make Colorado Springs livable and welcoming for individuals of all ages.

Age Friendly Colorado Springs Community Launch Celebration has been scheduled for September 8, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Acacia Park (115 E. Platte Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903). This event is free and open to the public. Join us for demonstrations of what an age-friendly city block can look like and illustrate the variety of different community members, organizations and activities that can all help shape a livable community.

This event will feature resources and information for aging well in the Pikes Peak Region, biking demonstrations, gardening demonstrations, Zumba fitness demonstrations, live music, dance performances, and a visit from Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers! AND MORE!
