In December 2014 BJ stepped down from a long career at Peak Vista Community Health Centers, a private non-profit primary care healthcare provider that has been in existence since 1971. BJ began her career at Peak Vista in 1996 as VP Development, moving on to serve as its President & CEO from 2001 to June of 2011. In June of 2011 she stepped down as President & CEO to devote her full-time efforts to the Peak Vista Foundation, a separate nonprofit that she helped form in 2005. Under her leadership, from its inception in 2005 to the end of 2014, the Peak Vista Foundation had raised over $30 million to support Peak Vista’s programs and services. Today, BJ consults in the areas of healthcare innovation and management, nonprofit fundraising, governance, succession planning. She also coaches aging adults who are interested in pursuing encore careers and writes a regular column on this topic for the Colorado Springs Business Journal.
