Age-Friendly Business and Employment
We are committed to building Age-Friendly environments, and this includes supporting the local business community in Age-Friendly design. We work with businesses and employers to educate and elevate Age-Friendly practices to address the needs and opportunities of older consumers and workers.
Since 2017, Innovations in Aging Collaborative has partnered with the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado to offer certification to local Age-Friendly businesses.
This one-of-a-kind certification promotes Age-Friendly business practices and supports Southern Colorado businesses through a review process on their physical environment, staff, marketing, and customer experience.
Age-Friendly Employers create work environments that embrace and support individuals of all ages, recognizing and appreciating the value of an age-diverse workforce. Given the complexities of today’s workforce challenges, businesses benefit from HR and hiring practices that are inclusive of the needs and opportunities of aging adults.
